Card Condition
-
Sealed: in this category cards are usually in near mint condition but it was preferred to create separate listings for sealed versions since it’s not possible to accurately grade cards through their plastic packaging.
If you are not really interested in keeping it sealed, it's more convenient to buy the opened near mint counterpart.
-
Mint: only graded cards are listed as mint in OnlyJody shop.
-
Near Mint: cards without visible defects or minor defects on corners and edges.
Also cards with defects created during the production process, like printlines or bad centering, are usually sold as near mint.
-
Excellent: cards with surface scratches. No pressure marks, folds or creases.
-
Good: cards with deeper scratches, pressure marks or folds on corners/edges.
Sometimes also cards that look near mint but with a slight misalignment on the card are listed as good.
-
Light Played: cards with a small crease on the surface or marked misalignment but still playable in a tournament deck with protector sleeves.
-
Played: cards with a big crease or multiple creases but not completely damaged.
- Poor: cards with missing parts, water damage or scribbles.
Humidity effect: japanese cards are particularly sensitive to humidity and they can take concave/convex shapes over time. Luckily it does not affect their condition since they return to their normal shape by keeping them inside albums, toploaders or even under books.
